The Story Behind "No Thinkin' Drinkin'"

And the domain Cervezo.com™

 

In 2026, spending time in Mexico with my wife.

One of my sons, flew down to spend a week.

 

I'd already created the word Cervezo™

I also own the domain Cervezo.com

A play on the Spanish word Cerveza, [Beer] 

I could see a brand somewhere in it.

 

I was watching the Mexican beverage market,

looking at tequila brands, packaging, and consumer habits.

 

Watching a hockey game with my son, both enjoying cold Cerveza. Between periods, my wife reminded us that the garbage needed to go out and we needed ice.

 

So my son and I started walking to OXXO.

As we walked, I told him about something

I'd noticed the day before.

While my wife was shopping, I was watching customers.

 

People kept coming in and buying ready-to-drink cocktails.

Not one or two, lots of them.

Workers ..Tourists .. Locals.

They were paying 30, 40, even 50 pesos a can

and walking right back out.

 

No bottles .. No mix .. No Mess .. No measuring
No ice buckets .. No fuss

Just grab it and go.

 

As we walked to OXXO, I said to my son..

"People aren't even buying beer, pop, or

hard liquor and mix anymore."

 

Then I laughed and said:

"They're becoming lazy drinkers."

A second later the real thought hit me.

I stopped walking .. Looked at my son 

 

And said:

" It's No Thinkin' Drinkin'."

We both laughed.

Then I stopped again.

"Now that's a country song."

 

Before we even reached OXXO, the first verse

already appeared in my head:

 

 ♫ Pickin' up a six-pack, sun settin' low
Tequila is my starter, Cervezo for the road ♫

 

The rest came fast. 

What started as an observation became a phrase.

The phrase became a hook.

The hook became a song.

 

And by the end of the day,

No Thinkin' Drinkin' was finished.

The funny part is that the song wasn't really about drinking

It was about simplicity.

No mixin' .. No Messin' 
No measuring .. No planning

The same idea that made RTDs explode in popularity

became the heart of the song.

 

And it all started on a short walk to OXXO

for a bag of ice and a stop at the garbage bin.
