Woods and Fields© is a song I wrote during reflection

on lifelong friendship and the memories that never fade,

even after friends are gone.

 

It looks back on the simple places where

childhood was lived and shared. 

Woods, fields, ponds, parks, biking to the beach

and skating till dark.

 

Those were the days when the world felt wide open

and dreams felt endless. Two friends growing up together,

believing life would always be that simple.

 

As time moves on and life changes, those memories remain.

The stories, the laughter, and the secrets that

only two boys ever knew. The song carries the quiet truth

that while friends may leave this world,

the bond of those early years never disappears.

 

Woods and Fields© is a tribute to all the friendships

that shape who we all become.

It follows the belief that one day,

somewhere down the road, old friends will meet again

and pick up right where they left off.

 

This song was written from real memories of childhood

friendships, growing up in the woods and fields

where life and time felt endless and untouched.

 

It is a tribute to friends I have lost,

to the laughter we shared, the special moments,

and all the times that never really leave us .. memories. 

 

I wrote it to hold onto something

that time cannot take away.
